ExecuJet complies with OTAR regulations for VP-B registered aircraft
The ExecuJet Aviation Group is one of the few companies worldwide that is already OTAR (Overseas Territory Aviation Requirements) and IS-BAO certified.

From the 1st of November this year, new requirements are mandatory for all business jets and turboprops registered in Bermuda Island. ExecuJet provides the owners of VP-B registered aircraft with the services to comply with these new requirements, including the preparation of OTAR/IS-BAO approved aircraft and flight operations manuals. Such manuals highlight specific guidelines including: Operational Control and Supervision; Crew Planning and Flight Time Limitation; Safety and Quality Management System and Training as well as compliance with Continuous Airworthiness Management Organisation requirements (Maintenance supervision).

Bermuda Island registered aircraft are renowned for adhering to very strict scrutiny and maintenance, on par with the US FAA. Some 400 aircraft, based and operating all over the world, are VP-B registered of which ExecuJet manages 10 worldwide. Cayman Islands, with their registry being VP-C will follow the same procedure in the near future, possibly as early as March 2010. The transition and implementation deadline of the remaining OTAR compliant countries, amongst them Anguilla, Gibraltar and the British Virgin Islands, will be determined individually in due time. By having the IS-BAO certification ExecuJet is ready to assist all of these overseas territories.

“We are very pleased to be offering OTAR services to customers and are seeing a stream of interest as the deadline approaches this autumn. ExecuJet has been active in aircraft operations, which includes Continuous Airworthiness Management for over 15 years, as a core facet of our business and we strive to enhance our capabilities in line with our customers' demands,” said Cedric Migeon, Managing Director ExecuJet Europe.
